Military veterans often cope with the atrocities of war through the use of alcohol and drugs. It's hard to blame these individuals for self-medicating in this way, but it nevertheless produces severe negative effects in their lives, and the lives of their family members. To encourage veterans with alcohol and drug problems to visit treatment, often treatment centers will accept military insurance.
